###RO-ELECTRIC The Committee had under consideration a ###ELOPMENT IN Memorandum by the Secretary of State for Scotland, ###TLAND. (L.P.(42) 243) covering the Report of a Departmental Committee under the chairmanship of the Lord Justice Clerk which had been considering the problem of hydro- electric development in Scotland. THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR SCOTLAND said that the Committee unanimously recommended the establishment of a non profit-earning public service corporation to initiate, and undertake the development of, all further generation of electricity in the Highlands.
