At their meeting on the 31st July, the Committee had decided that a communication should be sent to the Board of Investigation presided over by Lord Greene pointing out that the Government's intention had been that the Board should formulate a scheme for an output bonus on a pit basis; and asking that, before formulating any recommendations on this matter, the Board should consider the representations which the Government desired to bring to their notice. The Committee now had under consideration a further memorandum on this subject by the Minister of Labour and the Minister of Fuel and Power (L.
