TROLEUM. 1. The Committee had before them a Memorandum by the Minister of War Transport (L.P. (42) 142) suggesting tioning of that, in view of the abolition of the basic petrol ration, ternative control should now be established over the use of alter- els for native fuels for road vehicles. The general principles ad Vehicles. of the proposed scheme of control were - (i) No vehicles should be operated, whatever the fuel used, for purposes which would not justify an allowance of petrol and diesel oil.
