The Committee had before them a President of the Council note by (L.P.(42)136) covering a the Lord Minute by the Chairman of the Bolero Combined Committee (London) suggesting that the decision to end double summer-time on the 8th August should be reviewed in the light of the additional traffic requirements arising from the Bolero programme. SIR FINDLATER STEWART said that the Sub-Committee concerned with the problems of movement and transportation arising from the Bolero programme had recommended the extension of double summer-time to mid-September.
