The Committee had under consideration a memorandum (L.P.(42) 61) by the Minister of Labour and National Service calling attention to the fact that the Military Training Act, 1939, would lapse in May, 1942, unless steps were taken to maintain it in force by means of addresses by both Houses of Parliament.
