###E SUMMER 1. The Committee had under consideration the following memoranda on this subject - L.P.(42)27 - A joint Memorandum by the Minister of Labour and National Service and the Minister of War Transport. L.P.(42)36 - A Memorandum by the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries. The proposal put forward in L.P.(42)27 was that in 1942 the period of double summer-time should be lengthened by a month in the spring and six weeks in the summer. If the precedent of 1941 were followed, double summer-time would run from the 3rd May to the 8th August.
