4. The arguments in favour of such a corps are threefold; first as a valuable aid to recruitment, not only at present but in the future when a much greater stringency of woman power will prevail; second, as giving training specially directed to the needs of the Services; third, as a means of bringing within the scope of an organised youth service many girls who would otherwise remain outside any organisation. 5. There are certain difficulties in the way. One relates to the supply of an appropriate simple uniform for the manufacture of which neither materials nor labour may be available.
