REHABILITATION, TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT OF DISABLED PERSONS. Memo. by Minister without Portfolio suggesting composition of an Inter Departmental Committee.

5 Nov 1941

(THIS DOCUMENT IS THE PROPERTY OF HIS BRITANNIC MAJESTY'S GOVERNMENT. SECRET. L.P. (41) 183. 5th November, 1941. WAR CABINET. LORD PRESIDENT'S COMMITTEE. Memorandum by the Minister without Portfolio. This question relates both to immediate war purposes and to problems of Post-War Reconstruction, and I support the proposals of the Ministry of Labour for dealing with it in both its aspects. We should take steps now not only to provide for the rehabilitation and training of disabled persons during the war but also for rehabilitation and training for peace-time.
