in all forms of fuel Review by the Mines Department. WAR CABINET. LORD PRESIDENT'S COMMITTEE. THE COAL SITUATION AND RATIONING. I. PRODUCTION. During the 26 weeks to 3rd May last the total output of saleable coal reached 100.6 million tons. For the 26 weeks from that date to the 1st November the total seems likely to reach 103.6 million tons. Estimates for the future are dependent on the man-power in the mines and the output per man, which in turn depends not only on the regularity of attendance and the intensity of effort of the miner, but also on the availability of transport, the level of demand, accidents, etc.
