The Lord President's Committee to-day considered your telegram No. 4208 Arfar, relative to limitation of wheat acreage. 2. Mr. Carlill's instructions (telegram No. 3821 Arfar) were definite that we cannot commit ourselves to a limitation and that if further pressed, he was to refer back for instructions.
