The time has come when the Central Register must be assisted by some chinery, which must obviously be of an inter-departmental character and possessing authority, to consider demands, explore and develop sources of supply and determine priorities. I am encouraged by the success achieved by the Committee on Wireless Personnel presided over by the Paymaster General to suggest that a similar Committee should be set up in respect of technical personnel. I have approached the Paymaster General, who has the added advantage of being Chairman of the Engineering Advisory Committee, and I am glad to say that he is prepared to undertake the task.
