is obviously the better course to adopt, particularly no guarantee that a 4% rate of premium could be rate of loss were to increase. as possible, this as there could be maintained if the I must point out, however, that while a return to rates of freight at about the October level would reduce substantially the difference between the freight charges on a small ship and on a big ship, nevertheless there would still be a material difference. For example, the rate Tyne to London would still be about twice as much in a 1,000 ton ship as in a 4,000 ton ship and the difference between sea and rail freights would remain.
