- -1- COAL PRODUCTION. (Previous Reference: L.P. (41) 57th Mtg. Minute 1.) 1. THE COMMITTEE had before them a Report by the Secretary for Mines for the month of November (L.P.(41)215). This Report showed that the improvement reported to the Committee at their meeting on the 8th December had been maintained throughout November. The average weekly output during November had been 4,197,000 tons - about a 1/4M. tons a week better than in the corresponding month of 1940. In discussion the following points were made (a) It was satisfactory to note that the special steps taken to secure the return of miners to the pits had resulted in a substantial increase in production.
