The Committee had under consideration a note by the President of the Board of Trade 102) covering a Memorandum by the Mines the programme of coal production THE SECRETARY view of the maintaining supplies of coal for current consumption, he had originally proposed a summer stocking programme of 24 million tons involving an average weekly production of 4.5 million tons during the seven months ending 31st October next, It had, however, became clear that the industry, with its present labour force, could not reach this level of production and in his Memorandum he had submitted a revised stocking programme of only 16 million tons.
