###GES POLICY, 1. The Committee had before them:- ###evious (a) A Memorandum by the Minister of Labour and ###ference: National Service, covering a draft statement ###P. (41) 21st on Wages Policy (L.P. (41) 84): Conclusions, ###mute 4.) (b) A Memorandum by the Chancellor of the Exchequer, covering a draft Memorandum on Price Stabilisation and Wages (L.P. (41) 87): (c) A Memorandum by the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries on Agricultural Wages (L.P.(41)79). In this Memorandum it was stated that the Agricultural Wages Board had before them a claim from the workers' side for an increase in the national minimum wage from 48/to 60/-, and had asked the Minister to furnish them with information as to the general economic conditions and the conditions of the agricultural industry.
