The Committee resumed consideration of the Report prepared in the Central Statistical Office on the principles to be followed in securing adequate and comparable statistics of the stocks of raw materials, semi—manufactures, food and animal feeding-stuffs (L.P. (41) 59). THE MINISTER OF SUPPLY agreed that a strong body of central statistics should be maintained. While he accepted in principle the proposals in the Memorandum, he hoped that certain detailed points might be further discussed between the Central Statistical Office and Sir Walter Layton.
