We feel that a Register of this kind would be of great assistance if the Control is to carry out its main function of ensuring that the available space in the country is used in the most economical way and is to be able to offer alternatives to Departments both wanting the same space. Some consideration has been given to the way in which a survey could be prepared and it is not thought that the compilation of the new Register need take long.
