(3) (4) (5) (6) (7) The main features of interest in the economic field during this month have been the maintenance or improvement of munitions production; unemployment; earnings and the inferences as to the disposal of these that may be drawn from the figures of sales for the Ministry of Supply to furnish figures showing the monthly require- ments of the Services, the figures of the issues by the Services from their Depots being the best indication available. Tables 4 and 5 are also new tables, and show in summary form the results of the census of machine tool hours worked recently carried out by the Ministry of Supply.
