OS###ECTIVE ###P###IES OF UX###TE AND UM###NIUM. 1. The Committee had before them a Memorandum by the Minister without Portfolio on the prospective world supplies of bauxite and aluminium. (Paper No. L.P. (40) 20). THE MINISTER WITHOUT PORTFOLIO said that the present Memorandum which had been prepared at the request of the Committee (L.P. (40) 4th Conclusions, Minute 1(8)), disclosed a serious outlook for the future supply of virgin aluminium. At the end of this Memorandum he had put forward a few suggestions all of which were already under consideration by the Minister of Aircraft Production.
