PRICES OF AGRICULTURAL, PRODUCTS. (Previous reference L.P. (40) 5th Conclusions, Minute 1). The Committee had before documents:- them the following Proposed announcement in regard to the Government's policy on agricultural prices; the Minister of Agriculture draft prepared by and Fisheries. (Paper No. L.P. (40) 8). Conclusions of the meeting of the Committee held on Saturday, 22nd June, 1940. (Paper No. L.P. (40) 6). After a discussion covering both the form of the announcement to be made and the time and place of the announcement, the Committee:(a) agreed that arrangements should be made to cancel the Private Notice question in the House of Commons that afternoon and to postpone the broadcast by the Minister of Agriculture and the Secretary of State for Scotland which had been fixed to take place that evening; (b) agreed that the statement to be made should be in the form of a comprehensive declaration of the Government's policy, and that there should be embodied in it all the matters agreed upon at the meeting of the Committee held on the 22nd June, 1940 (L.
