1. THE NEW PENSIONS WARRANT. The Committee had before them the following documents:- Memorandum by the Lord Privy Seal. (Paper No. L.P. (40) 1). Memorandum by the Chancellor of the Exchequer. (Paper No. L.P. (40) 2). THE MINISTER OF PENSIONS explained that the draft Pensions Warrant under consideration was a warrant amending that issued in 1939. A number of improvements had been incorporated, two of which, with Treasury sanction, had been put into operation in anticipation of Parliamentary approval.
